used 3/4 mdf for the base, the sides, & top have been molded with layers of fiberglass. Laid fleece over the braces the fiberglassed to get the molded look, used a powersander for the flat surfaces (which are few), but had to hand sand in the edges, and top part. A power sander if not used carefully will deffinetly ruin your box. If i had a better camera I would take Up close pictures, but i assure you there are no craters or divets in this box. I maid sure of it, Apprx. time it took me was close to 3 mo's, but the end result was way worth it.
