Talking False faceplate humor!

I took my car in yesterday for service at Honda .....

They phoned me later in the day and sounded very confused and conserned because my radio don't work!

I had to explain to them that I did the recessed HU and that what they are looking at is actually just a false faceplate and that my aftermarket HU is sitting behind the stock radio!
This just goes to shOW THAT IF i CAN FOOL HONDA TECHNICIANS the false faceplate thing really works, and there is very little chance that thiefs will know about my ICE !!!!

Any way , I had a laugh!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped with the project, and I would highly recomend this DIY for anybody with an aftermarket HU !

you just take the faceplate off your radio, and put it over your aftermarket...of course, you have to install the real radio deeper in your dash so the faceplate fits, but there's a DIY around here somewhere.

Does this install help any with the glare since it is deeper in the dash? I know that this is a problem with quite a few people on here. And I'm looking for ways to take care of this when I get my HU soon.

I gues it depends how deep you recess it into the dash, Mine is not that deep but could possibly help 10% with glare......no noticible diference, unless you sink that sukkker deeeeep.
