Smile The ultimate civic to soup up?

So I am looking to start building a civic all the way im talking about investing 12k in it. starting with buying the right one which one should I go for?
I am looking for the best engine that would be worth modding, i would like to build the internals and finish with a turbo, i want the quickest car not the fastest.
I am new to civics but i have seen what they can do, thats why ive decided to do this.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Check with these guys, they might know a thing or two about quickness.

Any Civic can be fast if you got skillz and $$$....

generally the sixth gens are tuner /ricer heaven though.

turbo has it's pros and cons cons cons....something naturally aspirated like a K20 might be a better choice

Re: The ultimate civic to soup up?

I know someone who put about 15k into a 2006 Si and has it over 500hp, with suspension upgrades to match.
However I have no idea if he has ever taken it to a track or anything to tests its handling or done any drag times.
But idk if your budget includes the cost of the car, or just the upgrades
(He was trying to sell it last I checked, no idea if he has sold it yet or not.)
