Gas here in moncton is 1.35$ a LITER... and its been that way for about a week now.
Its been over a dollar since about january.
Somebody can figure that out if they want,
I figured it out a while ago....I think it was 1.12 a liter, and it was 4.65 canadian a gallon...or something...

I hate it when gas stations take advantage of people during times like this.

$30 to fill up? I"m not complaining. I don't mind paying $3 a gallon, Europe and many other countries have been doing it for a long time. You pay $3.49 for a gallon of milk, what's the difference?

This is why I drive a Honda, the two suburbans in front of me both put at least $125 in their tanks

I think the situation in the middle east is contributing to the present gas price just as much as the hurricane, Iraq w. huge reserves is totally gone infra-structure-wise, the Iranian don't want anything to do w. all of North America and Pat Robertson is out pissing off the Venezuelans who export to the US huge amounts of fuel, meanwhile Bush is out there begging the Saudis to increase production, all the while sales of SUVs and light trucks haven't gone and nose-dived.

Nows a good time to invest in oil futures.

edit: I was just in Europe a few weeks ago, and gas there costs roughly a Euro a liter, thats 4 Euros a gallon, thats probably around ~$5.00 USD+ /gallon.

They have been doing it for a while yes, but the cost of living in European countries is a lot higher than here, still...paying over $6 per gallon here is just ridiculous.

I agree that gas prices are too high but to combat the effect I purchased an Energy fund that holds a variety of energy companies. So as the price of gas goes up and I have to pay more, the energy companies make more $ and the fund goes up.

you people don't realize that in the 60's-70's the average person spent 17% of their wages on gas. At $3 a gallon, the average person is only spending 8-10% of the wages on gas. Point is gas is still cheaper than it was!!! Yeah it sucks that we have to have such a huge rise, but I'm not complaining, and my truck gets 18MPG.

well i found some gas for 2.99 at the mobil station, i was like sweeetttt. i looked across at the chevron and it was at 3.19. hahahaha. i filled my tank, it was half full, i mean exactly, cuz the pump stopped at 7 gallons, which ended up being 21 dollars. so it would cost me 40 bucks to fill it all the way up, damn thats a lot. but i filled up like a week ago, so thats not bad. i guess it'll last two weeks then at this rate.

I quit smoking to pay for gas. $4 a pack of smokes x three packs a week = ~$48 a month I'm saving. Considering I fill up once every 2-3 weeks, I should be coming out ahead(for now)!
