I know there's this good smelling stuff at Bath and Body Works, but they closed at 6 so I couldn't get there in time. I just went to Wal-Mart and bought this stuff by Banana Boat. I was like "I hope this doesn't smell like Solarcaine." So I get home, and sure enough it smells like solarcaine. Gross. I'd rather be burnt than smell that nasty menthol smell. Gross.

well you can buy the plant at the store. that's the pure stuff. just break open a leaf and rub on. And you have a permanent supply for later.

I use this aloe spray, it works wonders.

TIP: Put whatever you are going to use in the fridge or freezer before you apply it, it helps a little to ease the pain.

And take an anti-inflammatory, it helps.

aloe is very good
if you dont have aloe, sunscreen is good too. it will moisturize the skin until you can get aloe
if you are totally strapped, put some sour cream on. i know it sounds weird...but its VERY soothing. trust me, i burn easy and thats what my parents put on me when i was little.

I guess this spray I bought isn't too bad smelling. I think I'm gonna go to Bath and Body Works tomorrow and get some of that other stuff.

Here's what I do:

Spray that spray on (it's hard to spray your own back/trap area)
Stand under the air conditioning while the spray is still wet

Oh man that feels cool

Ibuprofen will help with sunburn pain. In addition to aloe, any kind of fatty/creamy/moisturizing skin cream will help with healing.

Also, take a hot, hot shower...as hot as you can stand it. It will help take out the heat in the burn. I know, cuz i burn just walking to the mailbox to check the mail. Bein a redhead sometimes sucks!

Then, just keep reapplying lotion......gotta keep the area as moisturized as possible, to prevent burning. If you already got lil white bubbles in your skin, its gonna peel. But the more lotion you put on, the longer it will take to peel, and it won't peel for as long. IF that makes sense.

Another really greasy/moisture rich lotion is the stuff from Victoria's Secret. Smells good, and its thick. Keep reapplying every couple of hours or so, and ya should be good.

Use some of the aloe vera gel with the ICE label. It's usually like a blue gel.

Also, use a moisturizing lotion to minimize peeling. DO NOT USE A LOTION WITH MINERAL OIL OR PETROLOEM IN IT!!!! Mineral oil and petroloem substances in lotion only "coat" the skin, it doesn't actually penetrate the surface to actually moisturize it.

Go to Wal-Mart and look for "Ocean Potion". It's a 20oz bottle with an orange pump. Another nice lotion to use Malibu Hemp. It contains hemp seed which is very good for the skin. It works like a charm!!

I accidentally had some thrown on me one time. Try it you instantly snap and go into a psychotic state. Screaming and yelling punching anyone that walks near you. Seriously though get just a small dab and put it on your sunburn.
