Gtech meters on Ebay

There is a dutch auction on Ebay for the Gtech Pro meters. He is selling 90 of them @ $89.95 a piece. It's a pretty good price I think since people are still selling them for $139-150.
For those who are interested

If you buy from Gtech direct they say
Pricing: Gtech/Pro $139.95, Gtech/Pro Competition $249.95 plus shipping and handling.
The 249.95 is the newer model.

they arent a track slip, but if you set it up right and dont let your car move at all after you start the thing until you are ready to gun it, it isnt to far off, granted you have a good road to do it on (i.e.-flat, smooth, NO CARS, plenty of room). my friends vw jetta 1.8t ran a 15.6 on the g-tech and ran a 14.9 on the track with the g-tech reading about 90 some mph and the track around the same speed (cant really remember). sure 7 tenths of a second is alot in a race, but for a little computer you suction cup to your windshield, it isnt too bad, and makes for a fun night with the boys too

Yeah I agree. I'd probably get something that can read DTCs and turn off maintenance lights like this.

They actually provide you the source code for their software so programmers out there can plug in a couple of routines to calculate HP and torque. I believe this program does the same thing nology's program does except, of course, calculate the HP, torque, 1/4 mile times, etc... I'm currently working on this project but I'm not very strong in C (or any programming language for that matter )but I should have something working soon. If there are any programmers in this site, this would be a great DIY!

Oh yeah, I already talked to the great god of DIY (Grey) about this but I don't know if he's done anything yet???

What's the difference between GTech/Pro and Gtech/Pro Competition?

Yeah, I just answered my own question by following that link.

So, I might get one of these from the eBay guy. Anyone else?

For those of you who have used it, what did you think?
