INJEN CAI filter...was i supposed to put that on?!

I just installed an INJEN CAI and the instructions never said to add the filter that they send in the box. So I didn't put it on. Was I supposed to or not?

like.. the big filter? if you don't want big rocks and insects into your intake, you should put that filter on or your engine may go bad.

Directly from the instruction sheet:
"8. Place the 2.50" filter onto the lower part of the secondary intake and fasten the clamp on the filter tight. (see fig 9) Place the rubber cushion on the filter end of the intake pipe between the splashguard and the intake pipe to prevent any damage to the intake."

It's on there, and common sense would dictate you have a filter on the intake.

The scary part is i think he installed the intake himself...you know common sense would have showed me that it would have a filter on the end...but who uses common sense anymore. IM gonna stop the post now cause i could go on forever...i just hope that hes kidding

Leave the filter off and go drive into the nearest lake or creek. That way your filter won't get wet.
