I already ordered some Amsoil 5-20 but I was wondering if anybody has tried this stuff???.....I know I've read that its pretty good stuff in the magazines,,,they even have it advertised in the back of Import Tuner and Sport Compact..........Its a full Synthetic like Amsoil but its supposed to last 15,000-18,000 miles compared to Amsoils 7,500...........I bought my Amsoil for $47 for 12-1 quart case.....Reline goes for $90 for a 12-1 quart case.......May be I'll try them next time if I get some goody reviews....[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

How much better are Amsoil and Redline compared to the Motorcraft oil. I would assume a lot since Motorcraft is like $12 for a 12 case. I havent heard of Amsoil & Redline before so I ask before I start shelling out $7.50 per quart for oil.

Well they are both Full Synthetics and Motorcraft is just a blend........$90 does seem like alot but lasts three times longer than you regular oil....Redline Synthetic doesn't have to be changed until 15,000 miles compared with 3,000-5,000 miles with regular oil..It ends up being about the same price ..but Synthetics offer better protection for your motor, better gas mileage, and might free a few horsepower.........I'm just trying to protect my engine because I know I"m going to have it for a while........

I use Royal Purple 5W20 in my Civic and recommend it to all my friends. Also use the SyncroMax gear oil and the Total Fuel System Cleaner (every 10K or so). Major dif on the gear oil. Major dif on the engine oil. Check out their website, lots of good info.
