Sorry to be so stupid in reguards to this, but this is my problem......
I cant afford to buy a full catback exhaust right now but i want to get something..
what is the difference between the catback exhaust and the downpipe ?? is it worth getting the
downpipe ?? and if i got the the downpipe what else would i need ??
I appreciate any advice i can get....

Rep Power: 292 To be honest, really dont want the sound at all just want some extra horsepower,
is it true that even with the stock CAt the downpipe will increase the HP by 9 ?

Rep Power: 0 whats going on, the cool thing about 2k1 is that the cat converter is located like right after the header, under the car it is like a straight shot nothing but pipe all the way back to the muffler....obviously a cat back is from the cat to the muffler....the down pipe i think is the middle section between the muffler and cat, i wouldnt replace that until you get a header.....then i would buy the pipe, along with a muffler...if you don't wanna start with the header first, which runs like $300 shipped i would just buy the muffler....it should attach perfecting to the connection at the passenger back wheel....that would be close to $250 or $300 also.
