Civic's Top Speed
ANyone know what the top speed of our cars are for the manual and the automatic trannies? I was doing good against a 89 mustang but it beat me cuz it had a higher speed limit. I was doing 120mph and the dude beat me cuz he had a higher limit.
I got passed his a$$ but then his car slowly creeped from the side and at 120mph my car was already making sounds like all the screws on it were going to fall off.

Rep Power: 0 was doing 123 at 6800 rpm in 5th gear, the extra 400 rpm should exceed 127, but I could be wrong!

Rep Power: 0 Sosojef... I have a brillant idea... maybe your car will go faster than 120 if you do the following steps...
1) Hit gas, hard... reach 120 mph
2)At 120 mph put the car in neutral and give it alot of gas
3) put it in drive quickly and hit the gas again

Rep Power: 0 ive done about 123 bymyself, once i was with my buddy and i was following him and got in his draft and i hit 130 and could have kept going but was restricted by his car(going faster cause i had a draft & he didnt), and traffic in the other lane. judging by rpms, 132 may be possible. however by yourself, i think 127 is definitly the max.
