Rep Power: 0 short ram intake suggestions?
I'm not new to forums, but I'm new to this one. I have a 2009 civic 5 speed that is completely stock. It is the VP model. Which basically means it doesn't have any bells or whistles. But my reason for making the thread is, I want to find a short ram intake that will fit my car perfectly and make it so I won't have to do any modificactions to the car. I want a louder/deeper sound from my engine. But I don't want a cold air intake. Any suggestions on what I should get?
And do the same intakes fit the Si models along with the regular models?

the most important part of any intake is the filter.
you can get a $20 cheap ebay intake and put a nice filter on it (like an AEM dryflow filter) and it'll be almost as good as the name brand ones.
obviously if you live in california it might be a little different because of the CARB sticker/regulations

Will this one work without me doing anything to the car? Also for this one, would I have to buy anything else?

i have a k&n. they're a lot of money but damb do they look good and fit like a glove. they come with a well detailed set of DIY instructions. all you will need is a basic ratchet set to install it.
so if k&n says it will fit your car, it will.

it means you have to oil the filter most newbs will over oil the filter causing sensors to get all gunked up like the mass air flow. the k&n hybrid filter is synthetic and doesn't need oil also its alot easier to maintain and it has better airflow and filtration. the hybrid is made by AEM the same filters they use.
