WARNING TO ALL: HP header won't fit!?!?!?!! BIG NEWS READ
Here's How,
I jacked my car up off the ground one or two feet give or take. I took off my stock header, cat and some of the front piping, then tryed to fit the hp headers on! up throw from the bottom, but relized i had to remove the front motor mount and a small heat sheld but thats no biggy. so I did that and tryed again........they fit, but just barely Now I start bolting the headers on, then I try the motor mount back on............................. ooooooooooooooooh nooooooooooooooo the far left port piping in completey in the way for the motor mount so I was thinking of bending the pip or cutting the motor mount braket on the one side off, but thats not a good idea......eak
I called hp racing and they said there awhere of the problem and are making a new version of the 4-1 header but he said it's going to be a while
He also said for the ppl the have already boughten the headers there a sim chip they will send out for free to fix the ideal problem.
you can email the HP Racing representative that i was speaking to at frank@hpracing.com
P.S CR-eVerything had no idea when i called them about the header problem. The guy seemed pissed and they are refunding my money asap with free shipping back.

Rep Power: 0 Sorry to here about your problem but this is old news. You have been a member here for a while you should have known about HP problems..I'm not trying to be rude but you should read up on these parts before you buy them. Normally we the consumers will tell you of any problems encountered with certain products. Thats the thing I love about this site, we normally get the heads-up on good and bad products...I hope to eventuallly get the new HP though, whenever they fix it...

I am confused! Are you talking about a chip for the ecu to fix the check engine light problem with the cat or what? Please clarify if you don't mind.

Rep Power: 0 one thing you guys must remember: HP Header is a true aftermarket replacemnt header, and it includes a new "high flow" cat, and the DC Header is the upper section only. Also, the HP one is chrome (booo , not good), and the DC is either Ceramic or Stainless Steel

Rep Power: 0 You mean to tell me that you still can't get the fricckkken thang in anything but chrome! Thats just f-in stupid. All be damn if I am going to polish my header ever week.
Can someone who has the header installed take a pic of the mod to the engine mount if it's not too much trouble?
