Look At These two Cars. The front wont be Obvious,
but when u look at the sides and the back side.
they do look alike from far away. Hopefully,
Honda didn't copy Mitsubishi. that'd would be a nightmare.

lol i duno man i dont see a resemblence. there both coupes and they have similar body...shapes but lol i dont see a copy cat. theres other cars out there that look like..other cars but lol i duno. this thread is funny....
i mean maybe if i blurr my eyes and lean back in my chair a little and squint they kinda look the same but...lol. other than that..i give up

i remember reading an article somewhere stating that the 7thgen coupe honda somehow shows similarities with the Mit. Mirage.

i dont see the body line at all man.. like they look like typical econobox styles from that time yea, but other than that i dont see it

I'm at work Blury eyed, from looking at engineering drawings all day, and a little buzzed from all the drinking 
done this lunch hour; But i can clearly see that there is no resemblance. 
Honda has always been unique with their designs. If anything other companies are copying Hondas design. Lots of civic and accord copies out there. Take a look at some of Hyundai, ford and saturn designs. And thats just the tip of the iceburg.

yeah i agree the rear is styled to look more like a focus. Keep in mind back in 2000 when the 7th gen first came out, the focus was a hot seller, especially the hatch. The front is just a restyled version of the 6th gen civics.
The 04-05 front ends, look similar to the 97-02 accords.
The mirage was always a crappy seller, thats why mitsubishi just renamed it lancer. Why would honda copy style cues from a car that doesnt sell?

Similar cars. But I dont think anybody copied each other. The Civic looks better imo & more luxurious/better quality compared to a Focus or a Mits Mirage.
Mitsubishi Mirage has been discontinued since 2002. The Honda Civic always seemed to look better compared to other cars in its price range & same year built, imo.
