Do u have to drop car, if u want 17" rims

Will it look stupid if u don`t drop ur car, and u want to put on some low profile rims and wheels. Lowering a car cost to much and i know i can`t do it myself. So if any suggestions or you have pics of what it looks like without being dropped, that would be great.

It'll look stupid IMO if you don't. If you don't have a lot of cash go with the Eibachs that only drop an inch and you shouldn't have to deal with aftermarket camber kits or blown shocks.

yo, even with the stock rims you look like an SUV.... rims or without... I'm still in need of springs but I got my rims on already. 215/40/17. I put them on cause it still looks better than the stock rims...

It will look fine. What's all this talk about looking like a SUV????? If you buy the right tires for your 17's there won't be any more wheel gap, than with stock wheels. It will look the same as it does now except you'll have cool wheels to accent your ride.

the appearance of your ride is judged maily in the eye of the beholder = do what you want to do. Get wheels and if you don't like the way it looks you can always lower your ride

Listen. You ain't got to do ****. I used to have a 98' Civic with 17's and low profile wheels. I thought it looked fine and I used to get a **** load of comments from people driving right beside me on the Highway or just parked. You should'nt always do what people tell you. Believe That.

you CAN do it without dropping, but I'd recommend a drop of at least an inch to close in some of that wheel gap. And if you get a larger tire, then an inch would be all you need.

it all depends on the size of tire you get

Personally i think that if you get some 205/40/17 or 215/40/17 there will be too much wheel well gap
but if you go with 205/45/17 or 215/45/17 it will look the same as the stock but with bigger wheels

I got 205/45/17 on mine and my car IS NOT dropped it looks pretty good
the reason i didnt drop it is because i really cant afford some new struts and spring right now i will later but for right now i car is stock height and looks pretty good
but it depends on the tires
if your not planning on droping it right now i would go with some 205/45/17's you will also have a little bit better ride because u will have more rubber between the rim and ground

thats just my $.02

I have 17s with 45 series tires and it looks fine
didnt want lower tires because i beleive i drive to hard and will eventually hurt the rims

I'm running 215/45's on 17s... no drop... the wheels fill the wheel well pretty well - much better than stock due to the extra width. That size is best for speedometer/odomenter accuracy. Maybe will drop it an inch someday when I can afford to.

If you put 17" rims on and you dont lower your car you'll get sick of the way it looks.if you get 17"s get your self yourself a set of ground controls they arent that much money. The kit should be about $350 shipped to your house and you also should get a good set of shocks(sooner or later) if you wanna see a pic aim me at smokinlx ill show you before and after
peace

Just get some "C" clamps and put them on your springs and tighten them down. Cheap way to lower car.
