Confused about pedals

Confused about pedals
I want to get some pedals for my car so naturally I started looking on ebay. 
I am pretty confused about this one listing. I think the pedals look cool, they seem too cheap though. But in the description it says that these pedals get your foot 3/8" closer for better response but then tells you that they attach to the exist pedals... wouldn't that make the pedals overall thicker and thus your foot is farther away?

Anyone know a good place to shop for pedals and what to look for? I don't want to attach anything to the existing pedals. Was hoping to replace them.
