hey guys...and gals,
just got a response back from Jackson Racing and they informed me that they have no intentions for making a supercharger for our 1.7L engine. just thought id share that with all of you, because i remember a while back someone posted that Jackson Racing was actually going to make one in the future for our car, however this is false! looks like its up to VorTech or HKS now for either a SuperCharger or Turbo....

Rep Power: 0 I agree with the previous posts. Jackson Racing is good ... but not THAT good. If they don't think it's worth their time, that's fine. I would rather spend my $3500 - 4500 on a turbocharger system with HKS, Greddy, or FMax.
They can keep their Eaton style blower

Rep Power: 0 I don't really see any company coming out with a turbo/supercharger for our cars. And if they do, it will be expensive as he!! and not give much boost as the previous civics. I hope that someone does find a way to develop one or the other that will give good performance because I'm tired of my car getting spanked by GSR's and older civics with turbos!

Rep Power: 0 In my opinion, the only reason JR won't offer a SC blower for 2001 Civic is because they don't want to waste their time and money to sit down and design and test high performance blower and CARB legal. NO, I think their engineers are not good enough for this type of challenge. Too bad they are not a competition aftermarket company as we all thought. If it is true they quit ony us, I am glad they did because it is good thing we just eliminate one quitter because QUITTER ARE LOOOOOOOSER, otherwise they come out sh..tty blower for us which would even be sh..ttier for us pay $2000 for 20 hp, NO WAY!!! I am waiting for the BEST, NOT QUITTER, and that is a Turbo blower. If no one offer, I get a custom made Turbo from Garette like a hybrid T03/04 blower because I am not a quitter.

Rep Power: 0 I am glad there not putting one out they arent that good. This guy I know got the JR supercharger it sucks. Its not worth the metal it was made from and I think this guy would know he works on cars all day . Lets hope for Vortec in the SI it rips it up.

Rep Power: 0 it took time for them to build parts for the 6th gen too.all the turbo and supercharger parts weren't avalable rightaway when the last geration was first introduced. this is an entirly new car/motor. give it time... they make money off us. witch means they will build parts for us.

Rep Power: 0 Damn. The JR SC was the only FI that I would consider putting on my car, if it was priced under $3k. Looks like my car will always be slow, probably never buy a turbo.

Rep Power: 0 Say a company does come out with the turbo, what other mods will have to go with it? Will the engine be able to handle it without beefing it up a bit or what? Seems like the fuel would also need to be adjusted along with the ecu. That could add up to like 5k and that just wouldn't be worth it. Hell, I paid just under 16k for mine, for 21 I would be in type s range.

Rep Power: 0 Sad truth is our engines aren't worth their time. maybe if they find themselves sitting there with their thumbs up their butts, which is highly unlikely.
But to be truthful they have the new camaro, focus, SI, and a bunch of other cars that are worth their time. they picked the top Focus, the last camaro, and the top civic. So in their minds they have covered all their bases. The SI is geared for speed, the EX, LX and down aren't worth the time. Just do a custom turbo....
If by chance later down the line the D16 series finds itself to be a powerhouse that with some new pistons and cam shaft and other mods can be worthy of a super charger from them then they will prolly make one....

Rep Power: 0 ok, talked to a local guy here.. i can get custom made superchargers... the hitches.. a) he still has to get the specs for a 2k2 (in my case) throttle body, but it can be done, b) it'll take a month, c) it's $3500..
