AEM bypass valve
Whats up y'all...
I just need your thoughts on the AEM bypass valve for an AEM CAI
do you think it's worth it - v hydrolocking risk, decreased hp gains.. and all that ?
or is it just another ploy to milk $40 off of us by the AEM company
thanks

ok wait just a minute. the only reason for getting that stupid thing is if you are going to drive through deep *** water and completly submerge the filter, then and only then would the bypass valve be effective. but if you are driving through water that deep in a civic then you need to be shot. any ways you can still hydrolock even with it. it only takes a little and the valve will not open unless it is really submerged. waste of money in my opinion. i had one so i know. the filter will absorb enough water so you don't have to worry about it getting past, unless, you are driving in a lake.

I haven't had one for over a year, and I haven't had any problems. And I live in Florida for crying out loud. So I drive through the rain A LOT. Don't worry about getting it. I wouldn't even recommend getting a cold air. Just buy a short ram and be done with it.
$hit listen, I was coming home one night and it was rainning hard as heck, and I could not see the flood ahead of me. It was sooo deep. that it was over my door seal. I could hear the water leaking in through the drain plugs under my mats. My bypass valve prevent my engine from dying, just go really really slow if ever you were in the situation I was in. For a 40 buck part, can save you $3000 on a new engine.
damn straight

If any body wants the second versoin of AEM BYPASS VALVE hit me up. I got one for 40 bucks plus shipping or 40 picked up in southern Kali.
There are lots of floods and stuff in the mid-west and east-coast so ya'll gonna need it. Even in sunny kali it floods. So it's a give an take for only 40 bucks. Give some horse and take some insurance that you won't hydrolock. Have you watched the news when it floods? Do people still drive in the floods? Yes.
