Electrical problems wanting to shut car off

When I brake hard the radio shuts off n it loses power for a split second. Today I had turned on the windshield wipers n it completely died. All the power in the car had shut off. Someone told me I could have a short somewhere but don't really know where to begin.

Re: Electrical problems wanting to shut car off

Here's a good instructional video on finding a short:

Basically, with everything off you connect a test bulb between your positive terminal and the positive post on your battery and start pulling fuses. Speaking of which, how do your fuses look?
