Rep Power: 0 BUILD me a sound system please
Hi, I got 09 civic DX-G sedan. I got 1-1500dollars for the sound system budget. can you guys recommend me some sick sound systems that I could afford for it? I'm thinkin about 300 dollars for the head unit. which head unit would you recommend with screen that can play dvds and has bluetooth for around 300 dollars.
I'm also thinking to get Polk Audio db6501 for the front speakers.
I dont know which amps, rear speakers and subs would be good for me.
Recommendation is highly desired.
P.S.
I listen to all kinds of music like RnB rock electronics
however I wanna have sick bass
Thanks

I'm using an old Polk 12" sub and a cheap Jensen 700W amp (180rms to the sub). It's PLENTY to shake the hairs on the back of my neck and was all found used. The sub is obviously important, but the box and amp are secondary. As long as it can drive the speaker without overheating and as long as the box hold the speaker in place you'll get good enough sound. These are small cars, you don't need 10,000 watts.
Can't recommend any head units. I stuck with the stock head unit, replaced the stock speakers, and used a powered input-->component output adapter box tapped from the rear speaker wires to get a signal to the sub. I did, however, look into the various units sold on crutchfield and the price point for what I wanted was around $400 (not $300). Bluetooth, ~22RMS/ch, multiband EQ, sirrus/hd radio compatible, etc. I don't think the differences between the manufacturers matters much any more, at least not in the price class we're looking at.
