Rep Power: 0 Urgent: How to remove the power steering pump
With my last post https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...l-leaking.html, I was trying to fix it. All good until at last when I tight the bolt back. In short I just over tightened the bolt and snapped it!!! Big trouble now. Seems I have to get off the pump to see if I can get the broken bolt off or maybe have to replace the pump. But anyway, I need take the pump off.
Can someone help me on the process to take the pump off?
Now I even can't drive it to mechanics. Or if I remove the power steering belt, can I drive it to mechanics? And how to remove the power steering belt?
Urgent help needed please!!!

Your link doesn't work. There should be a tensioner bolt you can loosen and then take the belt off the power steering pump. It will leak power steering fluid but you can drive it to the mechanic to see if they can fix it.
What year is your car? Do you have a picture of the broken bolt?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I'll try to link the original thread: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...l-leaking.html
1.8L engine, same as in our 06-11 cars.
Pump is mounted to the block.
Remove whatever bolts remain, see if pump will move out of the way. Disconnect hoses if necessary.
If the bolt snapped while tightening, there may be hope threads are undamaged and you can work the broken stub anti-clockwise to back it out.
Left hand drill bit and angle head drill might work if there is sufficient clearance.
