Has anyone used Goodyear 4070855 Belt?

Has anyone used Goodyear 4070855(7PK2170) serpentine belt for 2006 Civic EX AT?

Based on my research it seem like a fit, but just wanted to check in case if anyone has tried it?

Thanks for the help.

Get an OEM, and stop guessing.

Re: Has anyone used Goodyear 4070855 Belt?

Is your aftermarket belt choice made of EPDM rubber?

Honda part # 04301-RNA-307
Brand: Bando
04301-RNA-309, Mitsuboshi brand

I see NAPA happens to sell Bando belts ....but the price I just saw for theirs looked higher than Hondas MSRP.

Re: Has anyone used Goodyear 4070855 Belt?

Pretty sure Honda belt# 56992-RNA-A03 fits too.
I totally expect the OEM belt to last 10/100 or more.
Will the goodyear belt last that long reliably?

Personally, I never cared for the gatorback design in general but that's JMO.

Re: Has anyone used Goodyear 4070855 Belt?

Thanks EZ, so all these '3' will fit:

04301-RNA-307 Bando

04301-RNA-309, Mitsuboshi brand

56992-RNA-A03

Correct? I am just buying this one as a back up, so far current belt seems to be fine, no cracks or anything.

Thank you, as always

So you don't need a belt right now, this isn't an urgent situation.

I am just buying this one as a back up,
I personally don't bother carrying a spare nor putting spares in the other family cars I take care of...... I do check what's happening on the car(s) on a regular basis and go from there. I believe these things won't just shoot craps without showing plenty of telltale signs long beforehand.

IMO If a good belt gets trashed during a trip it's probably going to be the fault of something else entirely.... and you won't have a spare of whatever that is, nor the tools needed to replace it LOL
(this is why I replaced the compressor pulleys and belts on the GFs Fit and her sons CRV before they caused major problems)

Your new belt riding around in the trunk for the next 6 years may end up dry-rotted by the time you actually need it.

No urgency. LMAO, that's true .

Yeah, I do not need a belt right now. Current belt is fine, just showing a bit brownish and nothing major( no cracks or squeaking or anything).

I also pop the hood very regularly to check fluid levels and other things, I agree things can't be fixed on the fly if mess is too much.

The stock belts sometimes do turn brown quite early in their lifespan, but that alone does not warrant replacement IMO.
I still wait for obvious signs like cracking in the teeth before recommending replacement.

You are a god, so I'll take your word and drive it as-is

Will look for the belt when it'll be needed

Thanks again.

I'm no God...

Just like every other clown with a shoebox full of tools and a uniform shirt, I'm a knuckle dragging, mouth breathing, dumb mechanic.

You are far superior to a clown like me, I have no uniform, no tool box and no berating from mouth either...

I salute you, as always, for helping all of us.

YW.
I'm not superior, there are people far smarter than me.........if this was a cooking forum I'd be a total n00b asking how to light the pilot on an electric stove. I'm the one that can burn a pan of water.

I'm really here because I've been sentenced to many hours of community service for some law infraction LOL

I am NOT making a comparison of Mercedes with Honda or BMW, at the end they have a purpose — to be a car

That's a better community service, from the comfort of your house.
