Rep Power: 0 2007 civic ex oil leak?
hello, i just bought a used 2007 civic ex and it turned out its leaking oil.. the mechanic can not see where it is coming from because the car has too much mud/oil residue that grew under the engine. Do any of you know what this could be? I asked the mechanic about the coolant since hopefully it would be coverd by the 10 year engine replacement warranty but he said coolant looked fine.
Any help?
THanks!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I can't see anything from here.
If your mechanic can't tell where the leak starts, he needs to clean off the entire mess so you can start fresh.
Or maybe use UV dye.
Two somewhat common oil leak areas are the chain tensioner access cover and the breather baffle cover on the back of the block.
Simple remove, clean, reseal with fresh Hondabond RTV.
