Rep Power: 0 Won't rev past 3500 RPM after engine swap
Hey guys so a few weeks ago i hydro locked the motor in my 07 civic water got threw my intake and frozen the motor solid.. So today i finally get my car back from thw shop doing a motor swap (used motor) which only has 70,000 km on the new motor ... Go to get in it and pull away and i notice that the car can only rev up to 3500 rpm and not the 6-7 grand as before.. I can still go full speed i just cant rev past that 3500.. Check engine light is on any suggestions?

07 is not 7th gen, moved. Also, changed thread description, so people would not need to enter the thread to know what the problem is, as per forum rules.
just take it back to the shop who did the swap. don't overthink...

oh, crap, just saw your reply...
check the code of the engine they put on your car. it should be where engine mates transmission.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
