2009 Civic CV joint clicking at 28K???

Just brought my daughters car home and hear a clicking sound when turning on the right side when under load. Now I have owned 5 Hondas in the past and have heard this before and have replaced one myself but at 28k I can not believe this is going out.
Boots are not cracked, no trace of grease either....

Poppitapoppitapoppitapoppitapoppita on a tight turn while accelerating...., outer CV joint problem. Yeah a few of the 8th gens did have that happen waaay too early in life.

What's the original delivery date, date of first sale?? The reason I ask is the axle MIGHT be covered under the 5/60 powertrain warranty if it's still within the 5 year period.

Thanks for the reply, 10/08 was the MFG date, I think its the right side only, is one side more prone than another?

Warranty period began on the day it was first sold though.
Might be worth checking, have your dealer run a VIN inquiry.

Not that I recall..
We just replace the side that has the problem.
We do not replace both axles unless both have a problem or a customer really wants to pay for both.
