Central locking gone?

Central locking gone? My friends decided to install a new CD deck in my Honda civic 2002 GLI, the CD deck works except .. central locking is gone, the lights inside the car will only turn on when the car is on (when the door opens), and that beep that should go on when you leave your lights on and open your door just doesnt happen. Is this a wiring fault ? And is it easily fixed and how ? Or did they make a colossal expensive mistake ?
