Rep Power: 0 Honda Civic 2006-2010 Transmission Problem (Canada)
Hi All,
I have a problem with my 2006 Honda Civic manual transmission. I put together the following list of symptoms and actions from Honda in regards to the transmission problem.
Symptom:
1. The gear suddenly stuck in one of the gears or in neutral.
2. When the car is in First and second gear the car vibrates heavily
The last thing is that it could be dangerous if you are driving the car on a busy highway and you will find yourself helpless because you can't change the gear.
What you can do:
Report the problem to honda dealership
Response from Honda Dealership:
1. They will say that they can't copy the problems.
2. No transmission problem found
3. They will inform you that you need to replace the clutch
4. There is hot spot on flywheel
5. Questioning on how good are we driving the manual transmission
What we can do:
1. Report to Honda Canada to talk to representative (phone:1-888-9-HONDA- 9 (1-888-946-6329)
2. Create documentation about it (video, picture, etc)
3. Send me email (henri_sadi@yahoo.com) about it, since we are planning to have class action against honda canada.
4. Research about it on internet and find more documentation.
And hopefully they will issue a recall for their known issue.
