Payment received, your goodies will ship Monday
Rest assured, your payment will go into the "buying materials to custom mount a new slim fan in my evo because the new turbo is to big for the stock one" fund.

How hard would they be to mount in TYC projector housings? I have a set that the foil flaked off one of the bowls. I always thought it was expensive to retrofit and you had to build up the back a lot.

oh no, if you buy his full kit with projectors, bulbs, and ballasts, all you need is a wire harness to hook them up (you can buy materials and make yourself for $10). so for less than $200 you can do a retrofit since you already have headlights to put them in. tycs and sonars are small headlamp housings, but if you use a small hid projector like the E46, valeo, or these d3s ones which seem to be about the same size, you wont have to cut the tyc housings at all. i havent actually done it yet so i cant say for sure, but i have done a retro with sonar halo projector and valeo which are slightly larger and got them to fit. you cant use the stock screws usually so you will have to just buy a couple bolts and nuts to hold the new projector and possibly drill the housing a bit for mounting. the hardest part is making sure they are aimed properly on the car. usually by mounting just the rear housing without front cover, you can play with the projector enough to gt it lined up and then glue and bolt it all down. the only problem i see is that round cylinder on the side might not fit for the bixenon hi beam function. im hoping i can make it fit, otherwise its removable and you can still use the projector as lo beam only (tyc already has halogen hi beam so not a big loss).

looks like im getting some chrome tycs soon. so let the fun begin. parking and signal will prolly be full amber leds, then ima see what i can do with these d3s projectors. if it wont fit in the lo beam, i may put it in the hi beam reflector! and look for another lo beam projector.
