Rep Power: 0 FS:01-03 Civic TYC headlight w/TSX projector Complete retrofit
I am selling a complete retrofit setup for 01-03 Honda Civic. The setup included the following:
1. A pair of TYC projector headlight with TSX projector for 01-03 Honda Civic.
2. A custom made relay harness which made with quality component
3. A electronic delay release relay control unit (attached to the harness)
4. A pair of Philips 3gen ballasts with mounting hardware and water proof case
5. A pair Philips 85122 4300K D2S bulbs
I love this system a lot, the output of it is very good. I am selling it because I just sold the car, so I don't need it anymore. I did the retrofit by myself about a year ago. The headlight installed in my car for about 11 months. The system is in excellent working condition. You can see the light output in the picture below.
I spent a lot of time to build this headlight. I like the output of TSX projector(the rainbow), so I try my best to fit it into the TYC housing. As I know, nobody did that before to retrofit TSX projector into a 01-03 civic TYC housing.
This headlight worth about $800
Philips Ballasts $269
Philips D2S bulb $78.99
TSX projector $200
TYC housing $150
Custom made harness, ballast waterproof case, ballast mount $100
Now I am asking for $515 (included paypal fee) + Shipping(please provide zip code).
My car was going uphill
At level ground
Passager side cutoff and even light on ground
Driver side cutoff, you can see how wide the light is
Photos of the system still in the car before I sell the car.
Both headlight housing in excellent condition. The light was sealed with nissan sealant, no water and moisture can get into the housing. The len is crystal clear and never fog up even I wash the car at gas station.
Bumper off and you can see how the ballast (philips Gen3) mount right under the headlight unit. The ballast mount under the headlight so that no water can get into the ballast. The ballast was inside a custom made waterproof case.

Philips Gen3 ballasts with waterproof metal case and custom made mount
The complete relay harness with a electronic delay release relay. I built this hardness specifically for civic. All wire is 12 AWG Automotive Cross-link 125C SAE (what car manufacturer use to build car, can't find in retail store). The low beam will stay on when high beam is on. The ballast will NOT reset or reboot when you flash you high beam. This harness completely separate your HID system including high beam with your car orginal headlight system.
The black box on the left is the electronic delay release relay to keep the headlight stay on for about 1.5 minutes after you swtich off the headlight. I built this because my drive way is very dark at night and also I like to show off my headlight . This feature can be turn on and off easily by using a switch to provide a ground signal to the control box. (connect to ground is on , not connect to ground is off). On the right hand side, four bosch relays are using to control low/ high beam. Each relay control one light.
5 waterproof fuse box. 2 for ballasts, 2 for high beam, and 1 for the electronic delay release relay contol unit.
The fuse holder is completely waterproof
H4 connector to provide signal, only need to connect one side. Waterproof connector to the ballasts
Two rubber boots for the high beam(orginal from TYC headlight). 12 AWG wire go through the boot and connect to the H1 high beam light bulb.
Aiming
This was how I correctly aim the projector with the DOT standard
Both projectors were correctly aimed (horizontially, vertically and rotationally)
Headlight housing
Both Lens is crystal clear
Both Tsx projectors mount at the center.
I rebuilt the rear end of the headlight with Stainsteel metal sheet so that I can fit the TSX projector inside the TYC housing. The TSX projector can be adjusted BOTH horizontally and vertically. The rear end I built are securely fixed to the headlight housing with Screws. The Epoxy putty is only used to prevent water to get into the housing. I don't have time to sand down and Epoxy putty and paint it black.
TSX projector with Philips 4300k bulb
TSX projector without bulb
With Protective cap screw on (like a coffee cup). After the protective cap on, you can connect the ballast to the bulb. Then you can put back on the rubber cap(see the ballasts pic above) to seal the headlight.
A close up pic of the driver side
A pair of Philips D2S 4300K bulb. Used for like 1 year in my car.
One of the bulb have a broken tab, but the ballast can still connect to it securely without any problem.

Rep Power: 0 Can you sell your parts on ebay or hidplanet.com? My harness and ballast is specifically for civic. The ballast come with mount and attached the TYC rubber boot. That's why I want to sell it as a complete setup.

Rep Power: 0 D5cIvIc: Man, I can't do it. I am currently packing up my stuff and moving to NYC with family. So, I don't have the time to deal with the headlight. And the light is sealed very well with nissan sealant, I don't want to cut open the seal again. I already sold my car, I don't have a chance to test if it is completely seal if I have to open it up to replace the chrome piece. Can you do it by yourself? Put it in oven for a while, open it up, replace the chrome, and seal it back. I remeber I have some nissan sealant left in my garage, I will include it to you free.
