I have a brand new AEM V2 straight from AEM for sale. I bought mine and it was defective (the mounting bracket was welded on in the wrong position) so I sent it to AEM under warranty. It took them forever to send me a new one so I bought another intake.
Finally I got the new V2 back from warranty but I don't need it. The V2 and filter are brand spankin new. The only things used are the soft rubber mounts.
If you wanna V2 then buy mine! I don't need it and it's new in the box.
It's for the ex 5spd part #24-6100

By the way, I liked the V2. I had my original one on for a while without the bracket bolted down. It has a nice deep tone and I felt more power high end.
On a side note:
Gearbox is right about oil soaked cotton filters like K&N and AEM. They provide more air flow at the expense of filtration. Paper filters better but has less air flow
I have used both the V2 and the fipk II and I honestly can't tell much of a difference in power between the two. I did notice a power gain when I started using my napa gold paper filter though..... But how could this be? Didn't I just say that the cotton gives more airflow than the paper? Well it does, if your comparing size for size. My napa gold filter is literally twice the size of the AEM V2 filter. That means I get more airflow and better filtration.
Anyways, I don't want to get off topic, So buy my V2! It's just sitting in the box waiting to be shipped.

Okay, I got yur pm nash123. pmed you back. And what I mean is I went to my local auto part store and tor open every air filter box until I found a paper filter that would fit on the intake. It is twice the size of the AEM filters, In fact, it hits the top of my hood when I close it!

I'm using the fipk II as of now, I have it modified beyond recognition. I was trying to post pics but it's not letting me upload. Did you get the pics I sent?
Anyways, I'll show you my set up if you pick up the intake. I'll even roll to the auto part store with you and help you find the paper filter.
Here's what I'm running:
fipk II tube with the breather capped.
I used a breather filter instead of using the hose from the valve cover to the intake.
My tb has the heater bypassed.
I am using the napa gold equievelent to the fram ca8039
My intake is wrapped in thermotec lace up heat sheild wrap.

I already have everything set up with my fipk so there's no point in me changing it out. Besides, both the fipk and v2 perform about the same IMO. The V2 has a deeper sound though.
My reccommendation is to of course buy my V2, get a paper filter for it and wrap it in thermotec. I think you will be happy with that set up.
