A month ago my 2002 Civic Hybrid's battery died. The regular battery in the front had no voltage and needed to be replaced. Swapped out the battery and cleaned up the connectors. Today while starting the car, I see the charging system light start to flicker on and off and the Intergrated Motor Assist lights showed no charge. Drove it around with the flickering battery light with no charge response on the IMA lights for charging when breaking or assisting when accelerating. Turned the car off and restarted the car, now with IMA functioning correctly and no flickering lights. Im wondering if there is an underlying issue that needs to be taken care of because this car is getting old. Please help.

Microprocessors can do some weird things when 12v battery voltage is too low, or if there is a power surge, or if the battery was connected with the key turned on, or jump started with the key on.....

If it cleared up just from shut off and restarting the car, leave it alone.

If it continues acting weird, disconnect the 12v battery and open the drivers door for about 15 minutes. Then close door and reconnect battery, see if things go back to normal.
