Hey i just bought my 2000 uncles civic dx coupe for $1000. The speakers are blown and I listen to alot of rap and trap music. I need some new speakers and a bass thats going to BUMP. but i really have no idea whats good. and im trying not to spend more than $500. Unless there is something with alot of bang for the buck and thats half decent. Any help would be appreciated! thanks!

Replace all your speakers Check places like Craigs List..usually you can find an amp and subs in a box for 200 or less, then you can get a new Head unit and your component speakers(door,Rear deck).. check some of the DIY threads and enjoy..

Head unit
Subs(10s for clean bass 12s for thump)
Amp 300 plus
Component speakers

ok. does it matter what kind of amp and subs i get. and whats a head unit. and component speakers. haha i actually have no idea about this sort of stuff. sorry. thanks for the advice

Depends on your budget and what you want..how much Bass do you want enought to shatter your windows or just enough to fill your car?

head unit is the Radio/cd player.
Component speakers as i was referring to them is the speakers in your doors and dash..front and rear.

Walmart or an Audio store is a decent place to look for a radio..speakers like i said check craigs list first...the bigger the size speaker the more Thump in your bass you will get. Just have to make sure your amp is not to big...

Try a search on this site a lot of people talk about stereos and how to istall them..
just avoid names like Pyle.

MTX,JBL,KICKER and names like that are good.
