OEM stereo lights and gauge needle lighting out

Hi, New member here. My wifes 2000 Civic EX has had this issue for a long time now and I figure it's time to look into it now. The OEM stereo unit has no lighting and also the needles on all of the gauges are not lit any more. Also the volume **** barely works at all (I doubt this is related to the lighting issue). I don't know if these happened at the same time as I don't drive the car too often and my wife doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to these types of things. Would anybody have an idea what the issue might be? I checked any fuse under the dash that I thought could be the culprit but they were all good. Thanks in advance for any help!

Investigate the dimmer control unit (contained behind the dimmer ****) Somehow there is a way to bypass, but your illumination will stay at full bright. (good test though)

The 6th gen manual is easily available to check the wire colors.

The cluster lights work on the dimmer, it is just the stereo and the needles that are not lit up. I also have the rear defrost button not backlit but I am sure that is just a bulb issue there.

Needles could be illumination bulbs as well.

Stereo illumination.....? If you have the dimmer voltage at the stereo harness it could be an issue with the headunit.
