WHy do my speakers rattle and turn on and off?

Since it rained yesterday my right front speaker has been making rattling/static noises when music is playing, and it keeps turning on and off all the time. I checked the in-dash harness, it's plugged in fully. I don't think water got in it because I didn't open that door when it rained.
How can I fix this?

water still gets in the door. happened to me all the time so finally i got rid of the connectors and wrapped the wire directly around the speaker terminals. you need to check the connection at the speakers.

A much better option would be get the right connectors to fit the terminals on the speaker and attach them to the speaker wire.

Did you blow it? sometimes, the speaker will make a rattling or popping sound.

Installing these (or whatever size you need) should provide a waterproof barrier and keep this popping at bay.

you also reduce alot of back-wave distortion. i still havent gotten around to doing those in the doors.

I have used them in the past yes they help against water but make the woofers sound like crap as they do not have a lot of air room.

Re: WHy do my speakers rattle and turn on and off?

thanks, guess i will look into another solution. i had the dynxorb pads but they kept falling off the door metal in the back. i noticed a difference tho in the sound quality, and bass sounded cleaner.
