my 03 LX 1.7/5spd sedan when you turn on the lights the ac stops working (the ac clutch disengages). The AC works well when light are off. I have checked the grounds near the headlight and the ground near the underhood fuse box. All is good. Does anyone else have any ideas? I feel almost certain that it may be ground issue but this is a very clean little car with hardly any rust or corrosion.

I suggest you check your charging system: alternator, battery, grounds.


Also check the adjusting bolt in the bracket to the alternator to ensure good contact as this acts as the ground for the alt.
