Rep Power: 0 10th anniversary 2005 Honda Civic
Thursday was the 10th anniversary of owning my 2005 Civic Ex Special Edition. I am its one and only owner. It started with 33 miles and now has 147919 miles. It's still a really awesome car! I have been really good with maintenance. If you check my profile, you can see the few upgrades I've done.
Here are a list of major repairs that I've had to do. I still need to either replace the 2 rear struts or else drop it with a (Progress) suspension kit with coilovers.
window regulator 2/9/2012
vtec sensor 11/19/2012
leaking gaskets (cam seal, crank seal) 11/19/2012
window regulator 3/14/2014
hood release latch 6/7/2014
fuel pump 10/14/2014
motor mount 1/31/2015
power steering pump and rack 1/31/2015
vtec sensor 2/28/2015
clutch 2/28/2015
Thanks to all of you who have helped me over the years with some of those repairs.

Unfortunately my car was totaled last Sunday. A driver ran the red light.
It has been an awesome car for the 10+ years that I've had it!
It was dependable. It had great gas mileage. It looked great. It was fun to drive. It saved my life in the accident.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Holy cow, hope you're ok!
Time to get a 2016 Civic with a turbo?

Thank you guys!
I am almost fully recovered. I am still a little stiff occasionally and I can't yet lift heavy things without some soreness.
I just picked up my 2016 Honda Civic today! I was tempted to get the turbo but I decided on the EX and not the EX-T.
I'll see you in the 10th Gen forums!

I like to hear about the user experiences with the new cars....I like hearing about issues and solutions before I actually have to deal with it at the shop LOL
