Car Stereo Receivers

I was wondering if it's possible to buy an aftermarket stereo receiver and still keep/use the OEM alarm system that came with my 05 civic?

As long as the stereo is wired correctly it should have no affect on the vehicle alarm system.

Correct. They are not connected to each other.
