I am definitely new to the civic scene. I just sold my miata and I am looking for a civic. I know that people say not to buy projects, but do you think that the price is reasonable for this bad boy?

Re: Would you buy this?

I kept looking at the first pictures, and, "it has a hole in the hood!". lol!

I really don't know anything about modded cars (seriously modded, in this case), so I can't say.

If it runs well, it could be worth $5000, as long as it doesn't cost you another $2K shortly down the road.

Re: Would you buy this?

Oh, I just figured out how old this car is - 1994?

For some reason, my brain often has me a decade off. I know, all I have to do is look at the picture, but for some reason, it didn't look that old.

Anyway, last year I paid $4600 for one-owner, basicly stock 2006 EX sedan. Granted, it had a lot of miles on it, but they were stock, commuter miles...
It was a very nice car, and I hated to give it up, but the ex needed a new car. I took back her 2002 manual that I gave her 3 years ago.

I wouldn't pay $5000 for a car that old and modded. Unless you have a good car, and you are just looking for a project.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
