Rep Power: 0 stock 94 coupe engine replacement need help
Hello,
I apologize if I have posted in the improper forum.
My cousin owns a 1994 honda civic ex 2 door coupe, with the stock engine it came with in it, and manual transmission.
Recently his motor overheated and now it knocks very loudly.
He plans to simply replace the whole motor but is interested in knowing if he could drop a faster motor in it without modification like the Si version.
I am not sure what his engine block number is, as far as I know its the factory 1.6 Liter Vtec.
So if you can please tell me if he can put an Si engine in it without needing to modify anything and what block number also to use that would be very helpful.
If he cannot put a different engine into his car without modifications then please tell me to stay with a same engine replacement.
Thanks for your help.
