95 gsr swap or a 04 G35 sedan AWD

i have currently a g35 sedan and i am wondering if purchessing a 95 civic gsr swap is a good choice, i am going to sell my infiniti to get this civic to lower cost of payments and insurance and gas. all of these things add up to about 2 grand or more in savings soley based on insurance and gas money saved. now i am really stressed out due to a few facts i am concerned for the reliablity of the motor since i know nothing about it. my next issue is my infiniti i owe around 7 grand on, the place i can sell it fast for is only offering me 5500 and i have 130k miles on this infiniti. and making payments like its a newly leased lexus you know. so i am just wondering if anyone has had the same issue or personal struggle or concerns as i am having. i am really sure that buying a civic like this will save me huge and i can gain some breathing room. so i would really like to reach out and see how many people have had this issue. and id also like to hear from some people that have done this swap in the civic and just kept it stock maybe a couple of bolt ons and stuff. id just like to know if you have run into any issues if you have any. im very strapped for time and i just want to make a smart educated choice. and my problem is you never know if the car is a good choice or not. but i would really like to hear if someone has personally gone through this deboggle thank you

Well you needa see how well the person did the swap. Many people have swapped the B18 into a Civic before mainly because it's a similar to the B18C found in Integra Type R's.The engine is 1.8L hence it's name,B18.Red line is over 8000 and it is VTEC.25MPG/31MPG but note that MPG does go down over time.If you buy the Civic, there are problems hidden within.I do not know how well of shape the engine is or how nice the Civic is.

Buying a swapped car is always asking for trouble, unless you're very experienced with mechanics and can thoroughly examine the quality of the work done during the swap. Sell the G privately, get the most you can out of it, then buy a well maintained stock civic.

Well my friend is pretty good on swaps a few of my other friends bring their car to him to have him fix it. I'm not scared his swap won't work. I am just curious as to now what the hidden problems u are speaking of are.

Re: 95 gsr swap or a 04 G35 sedan AWD

So has anyone been in this situation and if so what odds did u weigh what did u end up doing? Because if anything major breaks on the Infiniti I couldn't afford it. Something breakes on the civic I could find the part and fix it normally in a day or so depending on the part. So I am honestly leaning to buying the civic. But if there is anyone out there is like to hear your story
