Dx Cx Motors

I had to replace my D15b7 motor out of my Civic Dx. I found a D15B8 from a CX civic. I've noticed that the intake manifold and throttle body are smaller on the Cx's D15B8. Both valve covers say 16 valve. Are there other differences in the heads or blocks?? Should I use my DX's intake manifold only being that its bigger or should I swap the entire head? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your ECU is set up for the B7, it would probably not run right if you just straight swapped. Not to mention the harness may be different. I would go with the B7 head on the B8 block but, would do more research to be sure. Good place to pose this question: http://www.honda-tech.com/
