Question 91 DX Exhaust

Hi all - I've read this forum plenty of times, but this is my first post. I have a 91 DX 1.5 pretty much stock with K & N air filter, an OBX Header and Magnaflow Cat, Then just standard 1.75" inner diameter (2" outer) pipe to a 'turbo'? (cheap)? muffler. Car runs awesome (my baby) But I'm looking at maybe upgrading to a catback kit. Do you think my current setup is producing backpressure? Is that maybe a good thing since I DON'T want to lose low end power? The pipe I'm running is only slightly larger than stock, right? The sound I have now is actually pretty decent, bassy. (I DO NOT AT ALL WANT A RICEY SOUND!) I get a little raspy-ness at certain rpm's, I think because the resonator was removed. So with an aftermarket kit, is 2.25" the smallest I will find? Is that outer or inner diameter? I was looking at the Tanabe Medallion Touring Catback (because it claims to NOT have crazy loud sound) Also, do they make any kits without a huge 4" tip? Any recommendations? **Again, noticeable sound is NOT what I'm looking for - I don't want it to sound like some kid suped it up! I'm more intersted in what might give me all around good performance with a civilized, polished sound. Thanks!
