Hi,
I have a 1990 civic dx with a 89 civic engine. The problem is that when i flatten her she will just clunk to try and keep herself going. Its almost like shes not getting enough gas. But i replaced the fuel pump, alternator, fuel filter, and starter. Me and my buddy tried something that when i flatten her she starts to clunk to try and stay going, he pours a drop of gas into the fuel injection and as soon as the gas hits she revs right up. Hopefully this is enoug info for you guys to help me.

get some fuel injector cleaner and give ita shot. It could be your fuel pressure regulator is shot........

I have the injectors and regulator replaced and the problem is still there. What can i try next?

you check the electrical system? Spark plugs, cap and rotor, wires?

Check the timing, it sounds to me like it is a little off and the clunk may be detonation in the cylinders. It very well could be the ignition system.

Thanks guys for all the ideas, i will give them all a try and i will have a video up here very soon so you guys can check it out to see if you can see anything else from that.
