The heck happened to my engine?

Hey,

This morning when I started my car (97 DX), it was shaking pretty bad, and then the check engine light kicked in when the idle returned to normal. What the heck could it be? It's never had this problem before, and I got about 69K miles on it...anyone have any ideas? I had to take the car to work and it would seem that everything was running fine. I even shut down the car and started it again, but I didn't get any repeat...I only have a short ram intake on the car too..

PS: Can I check this with the ECU/does everyone know how to do it, and where I can I find the ECU error codes? (I checked, I couldn't find it...)
