So, I finally had to get a bigger car and I'm fretting about what to do with my 2000 si. I really want to save it for my oldest son so he can learn to drive a stick, but that's 3 years away. And my wife and neighbors might get mad at it sitting in the driveway. But I don't even know what it's worth to someone. I'm the original owner. It's got ~182k miles on it. I need to take it to my mechanic to get the full report on it, but here's what I think is the condition:
One of the sway bars is cracked
It's getting a check engine light on some sensor which might be the catalytic converter
It's burning oil (not a huge amount, but seals may need to be done somewhere)
It's got a generic exhaust that I got replaced a few years ago
Minor scratches and a small rust spot on the back drivers side panel
No other modifications and everything drives and works fine. It has a new axle and a new clutch as of last fall.
I never raced it or anything like that. My roommate at the time had an Integra Type R and when I was looking for a new car talked me into checking it out.
Thanks,
jeff

start checking here.
https://www.kbb.com/
then you can also look into similar car prices around you.
you can try to get to work on the car with your son. It will make it worth more. And you will have dad/son time too.
