Vtec solenoid gasket plugs confusion. Help if you can.

Hey guys,

I'm doing B16 vtec solenoid gasket and there are 2 plugs that i'm not sure goes into which port. I tried them and they can be plug into either.

Are my arrows correct?

Please look at the picture.

Also, how do I fix the exposed wires?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Vtec solenoid gasket plugs confusion. Help if you can.

You did not give enough info about your car. Year, Trim. Body/doors, Original engine code. Trans type.
There are a too many wire diagrams to choose from without that info.

Wait, (checks posting history) Is this the hacked up B20Z2 block with B16 head on it?

Which wire harness is on the engine now? Original to the car, or something else (some CRV?)?

Still need all the info about your car. Year, Trim. Body/doors, Original engine code. Trans type.

Yes, this is that hacked up job b16a3 on b20z2 that I bought a while back. I just figured it out by looking through old pictures I took. My arrows are backward.

I'm not sure what wire harness is on it. Anyway to check?

As for the trans, i'm sure it's the b16 trans because the gears are too short.

Also, what is the solution to that expose wire?

Thanks ezone.

So you got the plugs figured out now?

I still can't look up wiring diagrams without a lot more info.

No easy way for me to tell from here.

Also, what is the solution to that expose wire?
Various proper splicing techniques and I like to use glue-lined heat shrink tubing to seal up my splices. I don't really know what all you are dealing with though nor how much room you have to work with.

Also google search 'liquid electrical tape' and see if that might be of use to you

Yep, I got the wiring figured out.

I think I'm just going to splice the wire and solder it together. I got to figure out how to remove the wires from the connector and hope i don't break it.

Thanks again ezone.

Edit. Found this that shows you how to take out the pins for anyone with similar problem.
