99 honda civic ex starts then shuts off (Needs to be jumped to start)
I have a honda civic ex 99. It wont start unless i get a jump but after being on for a while the electrical system gose crazy, the Rpm gage goses all over the place same with the mph gage, a check engine light turns on as well as the ABS light then it starts to stall more and more then it shuts off. This is all in a 5 min. span. I replaced the battery and it worked fine for abut 2 days then the same thing happened. Any idea what is going on?

alternator is toast or you have a connection problem between the alternator and the rest of the car. might need a new battery again as well

How many fault codes does it have?
Blown fuse caused the alternator to quit charging?

I have changed the battery but i am getting a new alternator tomorrow and i will check if that works and run a test to see what codes.

Check for codes and blown fuses BEFORE you blow money on an alternator.
