Thermoswitch 1990 honda civic to 1996 civic engine
I currently have a 1990 civic and Im swapping a d16y7 into it as a replacement motor. I need the part number for the thermoswitch. The hole is about 22.80 mm wide. 
Pictured bottom is the existing thermo switch and above that is the threaded plugged hole for the newer engine.

Switch is for the radiator fan? Was in the back of the block.
You're trying to put the switch in a core plug, I would not do that.
D16Y7 has its own thermoswitch in the thermostat housing. I would just run longer wires to reach the new location.

If that is the purpose of the thermo switch. Is the switch for the newer engine called an ECT? Only issue is that my current thermoswitch is two wires, would the ect work the same? Two wires?

On the newer engine:
ECT is the 2 wire sensor the computer has to use for fuel injection.
There is (should be) another single wire sensor used for the gauge on the dash.
Both of these are(should be) in the end of the cylinder head.
The radiator fan thermoswitch is in the thermostat housing.

Oooh are you trying to use the 1990 ECM on the D16y7?
Might be better off using the harness and ECM for the newer engine?
