Judging entirely from just having read the title I am assuming that the doors are locked and you can't exit the car. Roll down the window and climb through.

We need more info on the exact problem
-So there is a hard start and what exactly is happening between cities?
-Stalling out/dying on the road?
If so what happens before it dies?
-gauges die first, engine dies after?
-engine just shuts off with no previous signs?
-engine bucks for a bit and dies?
How does it hard start?
-constant sound from starter?
-starter sounds weak?
-ignition clicks with no starter?
-any sound from fuel pump?
-starts right away but dies right after?
