Hello all, my name is Michael, and I'm new here! My lowered 1997 Red Civic EK hatch was formerly a beater shared by a brother and sister during high school in Sedalia, MO. It was then sold to John, the owner of JT auto in Kansas City. John swapped out the stock d16y7 which had 193,000 miles on it, and put in another d16y7 , paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, both with ~100k.The title was left open, and sold to a guy by the name of Joe. I met Joe off craigslist less than a day after he listed it. Joe lives in a small village of run down houses that are being redone, referred to as a rehab block. In his village he has nearly 20 Honda civics, and appropriately labeled as joes Honda Civic rehab factory. Joe was kind enough to leave the title open for me. I picked up this highly sought after body style in hopes for an immediate DD until I get my 99 Acura TL back, and hopefully will have a k series in it before too long. Purchase price: $1,249

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I know there's 1,000 of these posts, so here's the 1001st..
Turbo build in the works
Got on Craigslist and for $600; Picked up .57 trim eBay turbo and tial blow off, intake/2"exhaust piping, y8 head, y8 crank, the y8 was bored to 75.5mm, and a spare blown y8 for parts.
Different CL deals netted me; 450cc injectors for $100, 2.5" piping and Walbro 255 for $70
Picked up s300 v3 , and a p28 for $700 out the door. Speed factory obd2a to obd1 jumper harness for $89
For phase1 Going to boost my stock y7 block, add y8 head, and try for 250 crank on 10lbs. If/when that blows, phase2 is top to bottom y8 with eagle/wiseco rods/Pistons, piston rings, goal: 300 crank hp. Phase 3 includes a fully-built and sleeved b20 that made 860 on a dunno, and can hold 900.. and at that point, obviously a gsr trans
With that being said, looking for y8 intake manifold
