Rep Power: 110 Noise After Replacing Springs
Hi all,
I bought my 2000 Si used and for as I've owned it, it's had an audible rubbing/squeaking/soft-groaning noise whenever I go over bumps or uneven roads coming from all four wheelwells. The previous owner had replaced the struts and springs with Koni STR.T and Tein S-Tech.
During the pre-purchase inspection, the mechanics told me that the noise could be caused by worn out strut mounts. The previous owner mentioned that he didn't replace the strut mounts when he did the suspension work, so I figured that could be the cause of the noise.
I replaced all four springs yesterday to Eibach Pro springs and also replaced all the rubber bushings and mounts but not the bump stop. The noise is still there and has not subsided at all.
I noticed that the front sway bar links need to be replaced, but the rear ones were fine.
Any idea what might be the issue?
